National Exhibition Center
Finding new strong image for an already existing building that embodies the visual Arts was the challenge for this competition entry.
What we proposed was very aggressive approach to the existing structure.
Our design cuts through the existing building providing large atrium space, allowing light and air to move freely between the different exhibition levels, thus creating visual connections and spacial paradigms.
The facade design aims in creating a semitransparent layer permitting ambient light and visualizing the image of the artist's fingerprint from the outside.
The cutting planes that create the inner space are exaggerated on the facades and complete the idea of "throughout design".
Honesty and simplicity of form, spatial diversity and light spectacle. A project ahead of its time, a prognosis for the future to come.
