We are incredibly proud to announce that our project for Ceratizit Bulgaria has been honored with the Special Award at the prestigious National Contest “Building of the Year” 2025 in the category of High-Tech Manufacturing Buildings.
This recognition celebrates a visionary transformation. The project, often referred to as the “Green Quality Barcode,”represents a complete evolution of the former “Bolshevik” factory site in Gabrovo into a world-class, high-tech production and innovation campus.
Redefining Industrial Architecture Spanning over 12,000 m² of new built-up area, the design prioritizes a near-natural climate and a human-centric working environment. By integrating the Yantra River and outdoor recreational zones—including a river amphitheater and green meeting spaces—the campus bridges the gap between industrial efficiency and environmental restoration.
The technical complexity of the project includes:
-
Optimized Logistics: Streamlined flows for modern production needs.
-
Energy Efficiency: Advanced sustainable solutions and vertical installation spaces for future flexibility.
-
Innovative Masterplan: A flexible, North-South oriented design that allows for continuous adaptation.
A Shared Success Architecture is a collaborative journey. This award is a testament to the strong vision of our client, Ceratizit Bulgaria, and the seamless coordination with our partners:
-
Architects: Arrogant Architects
-
Structural Engineers: Fedacor Precast Engineering
-
Contractors: Castello Precast & Planex Varna
-
Consultants: Keystone BG
At Arrogant Architects, we believe architecture should move conversations while anchoring legacies. The success of the Ceratizit campus reinforces our commitment to regenerative architecture—building with intention, responsibility, and humanity at its core.
