6th Primary School “Count Ignatiev”

The Manifesto Context In the densest parts of the city, traditional expansion is an impossibility. At 6th Primary School, we proved that the lack of space is merely a catalyst for superior architecture. We are moving “Beyond the Gates” to claim the sky, transforming a claustrophobic urban site into a multi-layered environment for the free minds of tomorrow.

The Architectural Intervention Our intervention is a surgical response to hyper-urbanization. By utilizing vertical urbanism, we introduced “Aerial Balconies”—elevated social spaces that restore light and air to a historically dense context. We have effectively reclaimed the vertical frontier to provide students with the high-quality recreational space that the ground level could no longer offer.

The Human Impact This design replaces the “perimeter of fear” with an architecture of openness. By lifting the social life of the school above the street level, we have created a safe, inspiring sanctuary. It is a bold statement that even in the most restricted urban hearts, architecture can breathe life back into the educational experience.
