30 Years Ceratizit Bulgaria with the Opening of the “Green Barcode” and Groundbreaking of New Training Academy

29th of April, GABROVO, BULGARIA – As Ceratizit Bulgaria marks three decades of innovation and trust, at a dedicated celebration ceremony, the company officially opened the “Green Quality Barcode” production facility and lay the groundbreaking of the new Ceratizit Training Centre. These projects represent the latest milestones in a continuous, multi-year strategic development of the global Plansee Group in Bulgaria.

The Green Barcode: A High-Performance Industrial Instrument

The newly inaugurated  production base in Gabrovo is a testament to the Arrogant Architects philosophy that industrial architecture should be a masterpiece of efficiency. Known as the “Green Barcode,” the facility merges massive industrial scale with a sophisticated architectural rhythm, designed to outlive temporary agendas and serve as a resilient landmark for the region.

  • Strategic Humanism: The design integrates high-tech manufacturing with a focus on environmental responsibility and the urban fabric.
  • Urban Integration: The project extends beyond the factory walls, revitalising the surrounding environment and the Yantra Riverfront to create a “collective ownership” between the industry and the city.

The Training Centre: Investing in the Next Generation

A key highlight of the 30th-anniversary celebration was the official groundbreaking for the Ceratizit Training Centre(Academy). Replacing the iconic former “GAPS” building, this new high-tech campus—also designed by Arrogant Architects—is a strategic investment in dual education and the industry of the future.

  • Visionary Design: The Academy is designed to inspire and master the technologies of tomorrow, serving as a hub for human-centric innovation.
  • Historical Continuity: By revitalising a legendary local site, the project aligns the region’s industrial heritage with modern global standards.

Domestic Foundation, International Reality

The partnership with Ceratizit and Plansee showcases the operational reality of Arrogant Architects: a studio with deep Bulgarian roots capable of navigating the complex requirements of high-level international decision-rooms.

“We don’t just build factories; we design spatial intelligence that reflects the precision of the tools produced within. Our work with Ceratizit is a story of alignment, transforming industrial mandates into architectural legacies.”
